Poverty with pride
I came across this image through the Blog Action Day post by Smashing Magazine and couldn't keep my eyes off of it. The kids in the photo are orphaned children from Mozambique, but despite living in poverty the expressions on their faces purvey pride and confidence. They all have such individuality expressed through a few tattered clothes. I'm instantly intrigued by their lives, who they are, and what gives them such style and grace despite their living conditions.
