Save Aorangi School Community Day!
The Ministry of Education is thinking about closing my school: Aorangi Primary, so we are hosting a community day where we will demonstrate to the government how important our school is to us and our community.
We would like to invite you to the Aorangi Schools Community day on the 26th July and will start at 11 am and finish at 4 pm. You can come at any time during the day, even for a little while. To start the day a Pōwhiri will be held at 11 am followed by different hui and activities for children and community members we need some help with that!
Could you please pass this invitation on to your whānau, friends and anyone who you think might support us? Perhaps you could post it on your notice board or talk about it during your lunch break to someone or even put it on the windscreen of the cars in your work car park.
We need your help and support to save our school. For more information go to the website at www.aorangi.ac.nz, check our youtube invitation or ring Aorangi School on 351 9031.
Nāu te rourou nāku te rourou ka ora te manuhiri.
[With your help and my help the job will be done]
Bring the whole whānau to enjoy a whole day of fun.
From Bree Toby (aged 10), on behalf of the Aorangi School whānau.
