Asian Inspiration (in Japan the title is Asian Smile) is a TV program to introduce young Asian people, who try hard to live with hope and prospect. It tries to show their expectation for their positive life of present and future, as well as their efforts and struggles. It is short but a nice TV program.

One program covers a young Bangladeshi photographer, who graduated Pathshala media school in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In the issue of August 2007, NI covers a Bangladeshi photo agency, Drik, which established Pathshala. NI invited Shahidul Alam, the director of Drik, as a guest editor to introduce his efforts to present Bangladesh’s images by the works of Bangladeshi photographers. It also discussed some distorted or stereotyped images of developing countries.

This time a producer of a TV production agency got to know about Drik/Pathshala through NI403. NI Japan gave some information and advice for the program.
