Illustrators / Photographers wanted for the NI Planner 2009
Hello creative people,
This is a call for alternative illustrations, paintings, photographs and any other artwork for inclusion in an international diary for 2009 - the New Internationalist Planner - aimed at young people, students, activists. Last year's diary was a great success, with lots of young artists from all around the world submitting artwork.

What we're looking for
This year, we're looking for quirky and creative ways to illustrate the injustices / successes / ironies / humour / tragedy of politics, love and life in the world today. Any medium such as watercolours, page animations, cartoons, paintings, sketches, drawings, doodles, poetry, thoughts/quotes, are all welcome. We’d especially like to see more submissions from minority groups, but all are welcomed from everyone and anyone who would like to contribute.
Some of the themes your photos / artwork might be inspired by are: Sustainability, globalization, development, fair trade, organic food, global justice, health, human rights, climate change, aid, poverty, war, peace, love, music, hope, smiles, recipes, cooking...
Size of artwork
You can submit any sized artwork you want, but keep in mind that the final size of the diary/planner is:
210 x 148 mm, portrait (A5).

For larger artwork there will be double page spreads available: (A4 landscape - 297 x 210 mm. )

Deadline for artwork
Monday, 30th July 2007.

All artwork you submit will be credited by your name, country of origin and a plug for your website or email address / contact number if requested. You retain all rights to your images submitted.
Publishing
The diary will be published in 4 languages, Dutch, French, German and English, and printed and sold in countries around the world. So your artwork will be given a huge and international audience!
