It’s in the air – and calling for a mindset reset. New Internationalist co-editor Vanessa Baird introduces our October magazine about the transgender revolution.

In this video, Baird talks about how the magazine examines the course of transgender rights and their liberating potential.

Baird also explains how the human rights of transgender people are routinely abused everywhere, but that Brazil has the highest murder rate.

The magazine provides analysis from Amanda Palha about the roots of transphobia and CN Lester lists ‘9 seriously easy things’ non-transgender people can do to help instead of hinder.

'That may involve letting go of some deep-set prejudices and fixed ideas about gender,' says Baird.
