Priti Salian

Priti Salian is an independent Bengaluru-based journalist who has reported from India, Germany and Uganda on human rights, social justice, development, culture. She has specialized in issues of disability, gender, global health education, and ageing. Her work has appeared in the Guardian, BBC, The BMJ, The Lancet, Devex, Christian Science Monitor and others.

In 2019, Priti reported from Germany for three months as Robert Bosch Foundation’s Media Ambassador. In 2022, she was a fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford, where she wrote her research paper ‘A 9-step plan for “curb-cutting” disability access in India's news and newsrooms’.
