| Visitor Info: | I am a Semi Retired Middle East Consultant who has spent most of his working life in the Middle East. I served in the British Military and later became a consultant. My time in the Middle East as a Consultant has been mainly in Iraq, Jordan, UAE and Sudan where I have met many IDP's and listened to their terrible pain. I do not believe in any of the wars currently in progress and feel that the West must pull out in order to bring peace. The very fact that we are occupying Islamic soil is the reason behind terrorism against us. My other deep concern is the continued use of Depleted Uranium (DU) Weaponry by the US, NATO and IDF forces. These weapons are nuclear weapons and are not only contaminating their own troops but also the civilian population in and around the conflict area, agricultural crops, land and water. The spin off from using DU is a dramatic rise in cancer related illnesses, still births and badly disfigured babies. As a result of the IDF's activites in Lebanon and Gaza they have now contaminated the entire region as well as their own population and land. I now spend most of my time helping the poor tribal people in Southern India and lobbying Senior Members of the British and American Governments against the war and the use of DU. I have written many articles and appeared on TV a couple of times |
