A guide to our digital edition

We offer a digital edition of New Internationalist magazine, hosted by Exact Editions. It can be read on platforms from web browsers to mobile phones. This is available for free to New Internationalist magazine subscribers. If you are not a subscriber, you can get a free sample issue, learn more and buy your digital subscription on the Exact Editions website.

How to get your digital edition

Get your login details

If you already subscribe to New Internationalist magazine, you will first have to activate your digital subscription. This will let you choose the email address and password you use to log in when you set up your digital edition.

If you’ve bought a digital edition separately then you’ll have chosen your login details when you made your purchase, and these will have been sent to you in a confirmation email. If you have mislaid them, just contact Exact Editions and they will be able to provide them.

Instructions for different platforms: browsers, Android and iOS

iOS devices: iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

If you are using an iOS device, you can download the New Internationalist app or just search for ‘New Internationalist’ in the App Store. You can pay for a subscription or just for single issues. The choice is yours

Android devices

If you are using a mobile phone or tablet that runs Android, you can download the Exact app or search for ‘Exactly’ in the Android Market.

Your browser

Once you have registered with Exact Editions by activating or purchasing a subscription (see above), you can log in to the Exact Editions website. Then click on the cover of the issue you want to read, and then the page you want to read. Note the green interface buttons which let you zoom in on pages and view single pages or double page spreads.
